Creamy Rice Pudding

1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup raisins
1 Tbsp butter

Combine all six ingredients in top of a double boiler. Cook over simmering water, stirring occasionally. When thickened add 2 slightly beaten eggs. Stir continuously as it cooks until it coats a metal spoon.. Pour into serving bowls. Serve hot or cold. Serves 6
