My Music

Music has always been a part of my life. No matter what I may to be listening to, I always seem to be humming. I can remember my Mom telling me how that when I was 4 years old, I was in the back seat singing to the top of my lungs, “Henry the Eighth I Eighth I am”, or when in the hospital with my oldest brother; we had to get our tonsils out, there he could hardly talk, and I was singing, “There was a B I E I E , who sat a wall E all E all and he went buzz E wuz E wuz and that was all E all E all” LOL. Many times I think my singing irritated my younger brother, he would say “Don’t you ever shut up?” LOL. I guess I never realized how much I sang around the house lol. No wonder when I was on a class trip Dad said the house was quiet LOL.

At the age of 14, I got my first guitar. My fingers got so sore, I thought they would bleed. I soon laid it down for a while, only to pick it back up again when I was 16. I sang quite a bit in church, so many songs learned on the guitar were gospel.

At the age of 18 I wrote a song for my brother’s wedding “Love you Forever” which I sang and played.

Love You Forever(Written, Sung & played by Blue)
It has been a song played at both my brothers weddings, as well as my own.

One year I made a cassette for my Mother, I called it “For Mama”. It was mainly gospel songs and a few Christmas tunes. Below are the songs from that cassette.
I really need to do another recording for my voice has matured over the years and sounds a wee bit different…. deeper and more mellow.
