~ Forget Me Not ~

This tutorial was written by me, and any resemblance to any other tut is purely coincidental.
This tut was one of my firsts that I wrote in Sept '06. The original tag for the tutorial is here.
This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

For this tutorial you will need
Paint Shop Pro. I used PSP8 but it can be done quite easily with any other version.
A tube or image of whatever you want for your siggy. Remember if using a tube, use appropriate copyright.
A thick and a thin font of your choice

The supplies  I used are here.

~Let's get started!~

Make a new image 500 X 500
always give yourself plenty of room, one can always resize later, and remember to save often ;)
Flood fill your image with white.
Open a new raster layer.
Click on Preset Shape Tool. Rectangle, check create as vector, anti alias, line style solid, width 1.00.
Set foreground color to grey and your background to nul.
Hover mouse until you have coordinates 80/80, click and hold down on mouse and move to coordinates 240/190, let go of mouse. Hover mouse until you have coordinates 246/80, click and hold down on mouse and move to coordinates 406/190, release mouse.
Convert to raster layer.
Click on your magic wand: mode replace, 0 tolerance, 0 feather, inside.
While holding down shift on the keyboard, click inside the rectangles, you should have both squares with marching ants. Selections, modify, contact 2, ok.
Open new raster layer.
Copy paste as new layer whatever picture or tube you are using. Position under the marching ants. When positioned, selections, invert, hit delete. Selections, select none.
Hide white base layer, and copy merge the others, you then can add a drop shadow if so desired.
Open new raster layer.
Click on text tool with grey as foreground and background as nul. Click on image, choose font, size.
I used Rockwell Extra bold, size 72, stroke width  2
Type in text, click apply. Position text the way you want.
(see tag)
Convert to raster layer.
Click on magic wand, holding down on shift key, click inside every letter. Selections, modify, expand 2, ok.
Open new raster layer.
Flood fill with desired color. If desired change opacity on this layer.
I did mine 45% but that depends on your color and the effect you want.
Drop this layer below the text layer before. Hide all other layers except the two text layers, merge visible, unhide other layers. Add a drop shadow if so desired.
Click on text tool, choose color, I went with a darker hue on my background an nul on foreground. Choose a different font, preferably a smaller type. Type what you want.
I used Columna SolSCD size 72, stroke width  0
You can put a slant like in the original tag I had done when writing this tut or like this one here , or put it straight across as I did above, choice is totally yours. I added an inner bevel (metalic button preset, included in my supplies) and a drop shadow, but as I said , its totally up to you, use your imagination and try different things.
I also put a new raster layer above the white background, and took my original picture an pasted it into that layer...change the opacity to get the effect I have above.
Add your watermark, and if any other copyrights/licenses.
Save your tag as a jpg file.

The sky's the limit when using your imagination, I hope this tut will open the possibilities that your creativeness can do.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
